THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD: ELISHA AND THE WIDOW'S JAR OF OIL PART 5: THE DISCIPLINE OF THE SECRET PLACE — WHEN MIRACLES REQUIRE CLOSED DOORS 2 KINGS 4:4-5 In Part 4, we learned that miracles often involve movement, obedience, and action. The widow was instructed to go out, borrow vessels, and gather what was needed. We saw that God’s instructions often require participation, and that obedience is a key that unlocks divine provision. Now the story moves from the outside world into the inside space of encounter. After the vessels were gathered, something very significant happens in the process of the miracle. The next instruction is not about movement—but about isolation. God begins to shift the widow from public obedience to private encounter. In 2 Kings 4:4-5, Elisha gives a new instruction: “ Go in and shut the door behind you and your sons … ” This moment is deeply spiritual. Before the oil flows, the door must be closed. This teaches us that some dimensions of God’s power are ...

POLLINATION: SPREADING THE SEEDS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS PART 3: CROSS-POLLINATION

POLLINATION: SPREADING THE SEEDS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
PART 3: CROSS-POLLINATION

When Growth Requires Community

 Matthew 28:19

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

In our last season, we explored Self-Pollination:

Growth begins within, through prayer, the Word, and discipline.

Private maturity prepares you for public fruitfulness.

But self-pollination must never become selfishness; growth is meant to be released.

The question now is: “Once you’ve grown, what do you do with it?”

Growth Is Meant To Flow

Some plants can self-pollinate. Others need external pollinators—bees, wind, birds.

In the same way, your faith, knowledge, and gifts are meant to flow into others:

Fellowship

Mentorship

Evangelism

Service

Growth becomes multiplication only when shared.

The Principle Of Cross-pollination

Cross-pollination is about connection:

Your private growth must meet the field God has planted you in.

The Holy Spirit enables your influence to reach others.

One believer can impact hundreds, one church can impact thousands, one nation can be transformed.

Matthew 28:19 reminds us: Faith multiplies through action, not isolation.

Spiritually

Share your prayer life to inspire others. Live your Word so it becomes teaching by example. Use your gifts to equip and edify.

Spiritual growth is fertile only when it flows outward.

Physically

Just as your body grows stronger through training and teamwork:

Exercise with accountability

Compete, collaborate, and coach others

Share your health journey to inspire action

Even the strongest athlete thrives most in community, not isolation.

Educationally

Knowledge grows exponentially when shared:

Study groups, peer discussions, tutoring

Mentoring younger students

Passing on skills and insights

A mind kept to itself may survive—but a mind shared multiplies wisdom.

Relational & Marital Application

Love, character, and emotional growth are meant to flow outward:

Share insights with your spouse

Guide children by example

Mentor friends and peers

Private growth is a seed. Relationships are the soil where it bears fruit.

NATIONAL APPLICATION

Cross-pollination shapes communities and nations:

A single life lived with integrity influences others. Mentorship builds future leaders. Faith shared publicly strengthens societal systems. Ghana’s progress depends on righteous pollinators acting in fellowship.

Illustration: The Bee And The Field

A bee touches hundreds of flowers daily, leaving pollen behind. One believer, Spirit-filled, can impact thousands. Your life is like the bee—movement spreads life.

REFLECTION

Who is God asking me to influence right now?

Am I hoarding knowledge, gifts, or wisdom?

How can my growth flow into others this week?

Prayer

Lord, Teach me to share what You’ve grown in me. Help my faith, my knowledge, and my gifts to flow outward. Use me to multiply righteousness, hope, and truth. Let my life touch others for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Because not all pollinators spread the same way, but all are necessary.
