THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 12: FINAL LAP: THE PROFITABLE LIFE — WHEN THE SOUL IS PRESERVED AND REWARDED
When Life Stops Spreading
Proverbs 29:18
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”
Last time, we explored Methods of Pollination:
God equips believers with diverse pollination styles: bees, wind, birds.
Every method is necessary—no style is inferior.
Growth and influence are maximized when we operate in our God-given method.
The question now is: “What happens when pollination stops?”
The Danger Of Stagnation
In nature:
Flowers with no bees fail to fruit.
Windless fields see no pollen transfer.
Seeds left behind never start new gardens.
In life:
Spiritual, relational, and national systems fail when pollination stops.
Talent hoarded, knowledge withheld, faith unshared—they wither.
Spiritually
When believers stop spreading truth:
Churches grow cold and powerless
Prayer and intercession decline
Faith becomes stagnant
Revelation 3:1–3 warns against a lukewarm church: full of form, empty of life.
Pollination failure is spiritual decay disguised as safety or comfort.
Physically
Stopping personal discipline leads to bodily decline.
Ignored health routines produce weakness, disease, and low energy.
Even fertile soil left untended eventually cracks and hardens.
Physical stagnation mirrors spiritual stagnation.
Educationally
Knowledge unused is forgotten.
Skills not applied or shared will gradually waste away.
Students who hoard learning may survive exams but fail in life impact.
Education, like pollination, is meant to multiply through action.
Relational & Marital Application
Relationships falter when love, attention, and guidance are withheld.
Emotional growth becomes self-centered if not shared with family or community.
Marriages, friendships, and families can wither in the absence of nurturing influence.
Pollination failure in personal life produces relational barrenness.
National Application
Leadership that refuses to influence positively breeds corruption.
Nations where righteousness and justice are hoarded decay morally and socially.
Ghana’s progress depends on citizens and leaders actively pollinating truth and integrity.
When the carriers stop moving, the system collapses.
Illustration: The Vanishing Bees
When bees disappear:
Crops fail
Food chains collapse
Entire ecosystems suffer
Similarly, when believers fail to act as pollinators of righteousness:
Spiritual, moral, and societal decay accelerates
Hope diminishes
Generational impact is lost
Reflection
Where in my life is pollination stalled?
Am I holding back my gifts, knowledge, or faith?
What is at risk if I refuse to move and influence?
Prayer
Lord, please forgive me for withholding what You’ve grown in me. Help me to release my faith, knowledge, and gifts for Your glory. Keep me from stagnation and selfishness. Let my life multiply righteousness, hope, and truth in every sphere I touch. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
