🐦 THE TAILORBIRD AND THE WISDOM OF STARTING SMALL PART 5: THE POWER OF CONSISTENT SMALL STEPS — STITCH BY STITCH

🐦 THE TAILORBIRD AND THE WISDOM OF STARTING SMALL PART 5: THE POWER OF CONSISTENT SMALL STEPS — STITCH BY STITCH Zechariah 4:10  “Do not despise these small beginnings…” Galatians 6:9  “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” In Part 4, we learned that life was never designed to be carried alone. Through the tailorbird, we discovered that: Collaboration is wisdom, not weakness. Great things are often built through combined effort. Relationships, mentorship, and support systems matter. Pride can block divine helpers and opportunities Some battles are won faster when you stop trying to fight alone. We live in a generation obsessed with speed. People want: Instant success. Instant influence. Instant money. Instant growth. But nature often teaches a different language: The language of consistency. The tailorbird does not complete its nest in one dramatic moment. It builds: One stitch at a time. One fiber at a time....

THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 5: THE BREAKING POINT — WHEN THE SOUL CRIES OUT

Image
THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 5: THE BREAKING POINT — WHEN THE SOUL CRIES OUT Mark 8:36 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”  In Part 4, we uncovered the trap of justification. Through Kwame’s story, we learned that: Justification silences conviction. What you defend, you cannot defeat. Saying “ God understands ” can become an excuse to remain in what God is calling you out of. He was no longer trying to do what was right… he was trying to make what was wrong feel right. There comes a moment… when everything becomes clear. Not publicly. Not loudly. But deeply. A moment when the noise fades, the applause disappears, and you are left alone—with your soul. And in that moment, the question is no longer: “What have I gained?” But: “What has it cost me?” The Breaking Point — When The Soul Cries Out The breaking point is where illusion meets reality. It is the moment when: Success can no longer cover emptin...

THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 4: THE JUSTIFICATION TRAP — “GOD UNDERSTANDS”

Image
THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 4: THE JUSTIFICATION TRAP — “GOD UNDERSTANDS” Isaiah 5:20 “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil…”  In Part 3, we uncovered the danger of silent loss. Through Efua’s story, we learned that: Not every loss is visible. You can look successful and still be empty within. You can gain attention and still lose your identity. She gained a platform… but was losing her foundation. There is something more dangerous than doing wrong… and more dangerous than becoming comfortable with wrong. It is defending wrong. Because once you begin to justify what is wrong, you remove every reason to change it. The Justification Trap — “God Understands” Justification is the language of a compromised heart. It sounds spiritual… but it is often a shield for disobedience. “ God understands…”  “It’s not that serious…”  “Everyone is doing it…”  “I will change later…” These are not just statements— they are permissions we give o...

THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 3: THE SILENT TRADE — LOSING WHAT YOU CAN’T SEE

Image
THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 3: THE SILENT TRADE — LOSING WHAT YOU CAN’T SEE Matthew 16:26 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”  In Part 2, we saw a deeper danger—when wrong starts feeling right. Through Yaw’s story, we learned that: Repeated compromise silences conviction. What once felt wrong can become normal. A quiet conscience is not peace—it is danger. When you ignore conviction long enough, you lose the ability to feel it. Not every loss is loud. Some losses don’t announce themselves. They don’t break in with noise—they slip in quietly. No alarm. No warning. No visible damage. And yet, something valuable is leaving. The Silent Trade — Losing What You Can’t See The most dangerous transactions are not the ones you can see…but the ones happening within. Because you can lose: Your conviction… without noticing. Your passion… without realizing. Your identity… without intending. And still look fine on t...

THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 2: THE SWEET TASTE — WHEN WRONG STARTS FEELING RIGHT

Image
THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 2: THE SWEET TASTE — WHEN WRONG STARTS FEELING RIGHT 1 Timothy 4:2 “Having their conscience seared with a hot iron.”  In Part 1, we learned that soul-loss often begins with a whisper: “ Just this once …” Through Ama’s story, we saw that: The first compromise is not small—it is an open door You can gain approval and still lose alignment. Not every gain is a blessing—some profits are losses in disguise. The first profit entered… and something sacred quietly left. There is something more dangerous than doing wrong… It is when wrong stops feeling wrong. At the beginning, your conscience speaks loudly. You feel it. You struggle. You hesitate. But if ignored long enough, that voice grows quieter. Until one day… it is silent. The Sweet Taste — When Wrong   Starts Feeling Right The real danger is not the act itself…but the comfort that follows it. Because sin has a progression: It begins as a struggle. It becomes a habit. Then...

THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 1: THE FIRST COMPROMISE — “JUST THIS ONCE”

Image
THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 1: THE FIRST COMPROMISE — “JUST THIS ONCE” Mark 8:36 “What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”  Every great fall does not begin with a loud decision. It begins with a whisper: “Just this once…” No one sets out to lose their soul. It starts with a small compromise that looks harmless, reasonable—even necessary. But what you call small… heaven calls costly. Because there is a kind of gain that looks like success…but is actually a loss in eternity. A profit that costs more than it gives. A gain that takes more than it adds. Not every gain is a blessing. Some profits are losses in disguise. This teaching is about bad spiritual transactions: Gaining money but losing peace. Gaining influence but losing integrity. Gaining attention but losing identity. Gaining the world but losing the soul. In God’s economy, profit is not measured by what you gain…but by what you lose to get it. The Fir...

THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 7: THE FINAL LAP — WHEN GOD SERVES YOUR STORY

Image
THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 7: THE FINAL LAP — WHEN GOD SERVES YOUR STORY In Part 6, we entered the furnace with Job and the ingredient of pressure. We learned that: Pressure may touch everything around you, but not what God is preserving within you. Silence is not absence — it is part of God’s process. Not all suffering is punishment; some is preparation. And restoration comes after refinement. “ Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him…” (Job 13:15) “ The Lord restored …” (Job 42:10) Now we arrive at the table. The final stage. The moment when God serves what He has been cooking all along. Every process has an end. Every kitchen has a serving moment.. Every chef eventually presents the meal. What once looked: Bitter becomes beautiful. Delayed becomes defined. Broken becomes built. Rejected becomes revealed. Hidden becomes honored. Now the story is ready. God Never Wastes Ingredients Looking back over the journey: Betrayal shaped Joseph. Rejection shaped Jephthah. Delay shaped...

THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 6: JOB — THE INGREDIENT OF PRESSURE

Image
THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 6: JOB — THE INGREDIENT OF PRESSURE In Part 5, we followed the life of Moses and the ingredient of detours. We learned that: God can begin your story differently from where He will end it. Even mistakes can be woven into divine purpose. The wilderness is not waste — it is formation. Detours are divine rerouting, not denial “ I have seen the affliction …” (Exodus 3:7) “ I will be with you… ” (Exodus 3:12) Now we step into a heavier kitchen environment… Pressure. Pressure is intense. Because it does not just delay you —It tests what is inside you. Pressure comes when: Things are removed. Stability shakes. Silence replaces answers. And everything familiar disappears. And in those moments, you begin to ask: “ God, where are You?” Let’s step into the life of Job — a man who met God in the middle of unbearable pressure. Pressure Can Touch Everything Except What Matters Most Job experienced total loss. “ The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away… ” (Job 1:...

THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 5: MOSES — THE INGREDIENT OF DETOUR

Image
THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 5: MOSES — THE INGREDIENT OF DETOUR In Part 4, we walked through the life of David and the ingredient of delay. We saw that: Anointing does not cancel process. Delay is God’s development system. Waiting builds capacity. And delay is not denial. “ Wait on the Lord…” (Psalm 27:14) “At the proper time…” (Galatians 6:9) Now we move into another complex ingredient… Detours. A Detour is unexpected change in your life’s direction that still leads to a meaningful outcome. Detours are frustrating.. Because they interrupt your plan. You had a direction… A vision… A timeline… Then suddenly: Everything changes. You didn’t plan for it. You didn’t expect it. You didn’t understand it. And you begin to wonder: “ God, why this route?” A detour is not a denial of destination—it is a redirection of the journey. Let’s step into the life of Moses — a man whose destiny was shaped not just by direction… But by divine interruption. God’s Plan May Start Different From Where ...

THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 4: DAVID — THE INGREDIENT OF DELAY

Image
THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 4: DAVID — THE INGREDIENT OF DELAY In Part 3, we explored the life of Jephthah and the ingredient of rejection. We learned that: Rejection is not always denial — it is often redirection. The rejected can become the requested. Identity must not be built on people’s opinions. “ The stone the builders rejected…” (Psalm 118:22) Now we step into another difficult ingredient… Not betrayal. Not rejection. But delay. Delay is frustrating. Because you know: You are called. You are anointed. You are capable. Yet… nothing seems to be moving. Doors are not opening. Opportunities are not aligning. Timing is not making sense. And you begin to ask: “ God, why is it taking so long?” Let’s step into the life of David. A man who was anointed early… But enthroned much later. Anointing Does Not Cancel Process David was chosen and anointed as king. “ Arise, anoint him…” (1 Samuel 16:12) But after the oil came…He went back to the field. No throne. No crown. No announceme...

THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 3: JEPHTHAH — THE INGREDIENT OF REJECTION

Image
THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 3: JEPHTHAH — THE INGREDIENT OF REJECTION In Part 2, we walked through the life of Joseph and uncovered the painful ingredient of betrayal. We learned that: Betrayal often comes from close places. The pit is not the end — it is transportation. God uses betrayal to position before He promotes. And most importantly, we must not allow pain to corrupt our hearts Now we move to another difficult ingredient… Not betrayal this time… But rejection. Rejection has a unique sting. It doesn’t just hurt your emotions — It questions your identity. It whispers: “You don’t belong.” “You are not enough.” “You were not chosen.” Rejection can make you feel invisible… unnecessary… forgotten. But what if rejection is not a denial? What if it is an ingredient in God’s hands? Let’s step into the life of Jephthah. Rejection Can Be Rooted in What You Didn’t Choose Jephthah’s story begins with something he had no control over. He was born through a prostitute. He did not choo...

THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 2: JOSEPH — THE INGREDIENT OF BETRAYAL

Image
THE GREAT CHEF: WHEN GOD COOKS PART 2: JOSEPH — THE INGREDIENT OF BETRAYAL Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose . In Part 1, we entered the Kitchen of Destiny. We learned that: God is intentional with every ingredient. The fire is not our enemy — it is our transformer. Hidden seasons are preparation, not punishment. And most importantly: “ All things work together… ” But now we move deeper into the kitchen… Because one of the most painful ingredients God uses is not delay… not pressure… It is betrayal. Few things wound like betrayal. A stranger’s attack is painful… But a familiar hand cuts deeper. Betrayal confuses you:  “Why me?” “Why them?” “Why now?” But what if betrayal is not just an attack… What if it is an ingredient? Let’s step into the life of Joseph. Betrayal Often Comes From Close Places .  Joseph was not attacked by enemies. He was betrayed by brothers. People who k...
