THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD: ELISHA AND THE WIDOW'S JAR OF OIL PART 5: THE DISCIPLINE OF THE SECRET PLACE — WHEN MIRACLES REQUIRE CLOSED DOORS 2 KINGS 4:4-5 In Part 4, we learned that miracles often involve movement, obedience, and action. The widow was instructed to go out, borrow vessels, and gather what was needed. We saw that God’s instructions often require participation, and that obedience is a key that unlocks divine provision. Now the story moves from the outside world into the inside space of encounter. After the vessels were gathered, something very significant happens in the process of the miracle. The next instruction is not about movement—but about isolation. God begins to shift the widow from public obedience to private encounter. In 2 Kings 4:4-5, Elisha gives a new instruction: “ Go in and shut the door behind you and your sons … ” This moment is deeply spiritual. Before the oil flows, the door must be closed. This teaches us that some dimensions of God’s power are ...

POLLINATION: SPREADING THE SEEDS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS PART 6: THE CALL TO BE EFFECTIVE POLLINATORS

POLLINATION: SPREADING THE SEEDS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
PART 6: THE CALL TO BE EFFECTIVE POLLINATORS

Actively Spreading Righteousness Wherever God Plants You

Matthew 5:16

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

In part 5, we learned about Pollination Failure:

When believers stop spreading life, stagnation sets in.

Spiritual, physical, educational, relational, and national systems decay without active pollination.

Hoarding gifts, knowledge, and faith leads to missed opportunities and lost generations.

The question now is: “How do we move from survival to active multiplication?”

Light Is Meant To Be Shared

A candle never loses its flame when it lights another candle. Likewise, your faith, wisdom, and influence do not diminish when shared—they multiply.

God is calling you to active pollination—moving your growth outward, impacting lives, and transforming communities.

Spiritually

Pray with purpose—pray for others, not just for self. Teach and mentor—pass on what God has shown you.

Evangelize—share the gospel, letting the Holy Spirit guide your influence.

The Spirit empowers you to be a divine pollinator, capable of spreading life beyond what you can imagine (Acts 1:8).

Physically

Discipline your body to serve and endure.

Exercise not just for personal health, but to model stewardship of God’s temple.

Active living multiplies strength for service and influence.

A physically vibrant believer moves and inspires others, just like bees move pollen.

Educationally

Share knowledge, mentor peers, tutor students, and train others. Apply skills in ways that impact your community.

Self-growth is the seed; teaching and sharing is the pollination. Education is meant to multiply—not be hoarded.

Relational & Marital Application

Invest in family, spouse, and friends with wisdom and love.

Serve in marriages, parenting, and friendships, letting your maturity bless others. Emotional and relational growth is meant to flow outward, not remain private.

Healthy relationships are living proof of active pollination.

National Application

Be an example in your workplace, community, and nation. Uphold truth, integrity, and justice.

Actively participate in nation-building, mentoring future leaders, and influencing systems positively.

Ghana rises when believers actively spread righteousness.

Illustration: The Candle And The Field

A candle doesn’t lose light when it lights another. A believer’s life multiplies influence when shared:

Prayer covers more people

Knowledge touches more minds

Love strengthens more relationships

Integrity builds stronger nations

Pollination is active, intentional, and outward-moving.

Reflection

Am I actively spreading what God has grown in me?

Who needs my influence, knowledge, or mentorship right now?

How can I move beyond comfort and multiply my impact this week?

Prayer

Lord, please empower me to be an effective pollinator. Let my faith, knowledge, and gifts flow to others. Help me shine Your light, transform lives, and multiply righteousness wherever I am planted. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Because the ultimate measure of growth is the life you spread, the seeds you release, and the Kingdom impact you leave behind.
