THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 12: FINAL LAP: THE PROFITABLE LIFE — WHEN THE SOUL IS PRESERVED AND REWARDED
Revelation 12:10
“For the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.”
In Part 1, we witnessed the opening of Heaven’s courtroom — a place of divine order, justice, and mercy. We saw that prayer is more than noise; it is a legal petition before the Judge of all the earth. Heaven’s court sits when matters of destiny, accusation, or mercy must be settled. We learnt that justice and mercy meet at the cross, and that the gavel of grace fell in our favor through the blood of Jesus. Now that the court has opened, a new voice rises — the voice of the accuser.
Every courtroom has a prosecutor — one who digs up evidence, presents charges, and demands judgment. In the Courtroom of Heaven, that role is played by Satan, the accuser of the brethren.
Heaven knows him not just as the tempter, but as the prosecuting attorney — a relentless adversary who collects every sinful record, aiming to use it against God’s people. His goal is simple: to make you believe you’re unworthy of mercy, undeserving of grace, and unfit for purpose.
But what he forgets is that the same court he accuses you in is also the court where Jesus defends you — and His blood speaks louder than any accusation.
The Nature of the Accuser
The name Satan means “adversary” or “one who resists.”
His accusations are not random — they are legal. He appeals to divine justice, trying to manipulate God’s righteousness into condemning man.
He says things like:
“He sinned — and You said the soul that sins shall die.”
“She broke Your covenant — so judgment is due.”
“They disobeyed — so blessings must be withheld.”
He uses the very Word of God as his evidence, twisting Scripture the same way he did in the wilderness when tempting Jesus (Matthew 4:6).
He brings:
Legal files — every unconfessed sin.
Witnesses — demonic reminders of your past.
Testimonies — your own words of doubt, fear, and guilt.
This is why the Bible calls him “the accuser of the brethren.” He knows how to argue, but he forgets that our Advocate has already settled the case.
The Strategy of the Accuser
1. He tempts — to create sin.
2. He watches — to gather evidence.
3. He accuses — to gain permission for affliction.
4. He condemns — to drain your confidence before God.
He understands that guilt weakens your boldness in prayer.
When you approach God with shame, your faith loses its edge. That’s why he fights not just your actions, but your conscience.
Yet, here’s Heaven’s secret:
The only valid evidence in this courtroom is the Blood of Jesus. Every accusation collapses the moment you repent and plead the Blood.
In Zechariah 3:1–5, Satan accused Joshua the high priest — but God rebuked him, removed Joshua’s filthy garments, and clothed him with righteousness.
That’s mercy in action — justice satisfied, yet the sinner restored.
How to Overcome the Accuser
Revelation 12:11 gives the formula:
“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”
a. Plead the Blood — It erases legal claims.
b. Declare the Word — It invalidates false charges.
c. Stand in Faith — It proves you trust the finished work of the Cross.
Every time you feel accused, remind Heaven (and yourself):
“The Blood has spoken for me.”
You are not on trial — you are already justified.
Reflection
What voice do you believe most — the accuser’s or the Advocate’s?
Have you allowed guilt to silence your worship?
Are there “unconfessed files” the enemy keeps using against you?
Take them to court — not to hide them, but to surrender them.
When you repent, the files are sealed. When you trust the Blood, the case is dismissed.
Don’t let the devil keep you in prison for a crime Jesus already paid for.
Spend time in honest repentance this week — not from fear, but from love.
Speak daily: “The Blood of Jesus speaks for me.”
When guilt whispers, answer with grace: “It is finished.”
Refuse to argue with the accuser; instead, let the Advocate speak on your behalf.
🙏🏾 Prayer
Righteous Judge, I thank You for revealing the enemy’s tactics. Today, I silence every accusation with the voice of the Blood. Let every charge against me be nullified, every guilt be washed away, and every verdict of condemnation be overturned by grace. I receive mercy, forgiveness, and new confidence to stand before You. In Jesus’ name — Case dismissed! 🙌🏾
Amen.
📖 Next Up — Part 3: “The Advocate Speaks” In Part 3, we’ll witness Jesus Christ — the Righteous Advocate — take the stand on our behalf. Discover how His intercession, blood, and finished work speak eternally before the Judge. The case isn’t over — your defense is about to begin.
Stay tuned.
God is speaking, are you listening?
