THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 12: FINAL LAP: THE PROFITABLE LIFE — WHEN THE SOUL IS PRESERVED AND REWARDED
2 Samuel 9:1–3
And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
In our last session, we learnt about divine remembrance:
God actively remembers those whom the world forgets. His remembrance brings hope, restoration, and opportunity. Even in invisible seasons, God positions you for elevation.
Today, we explore Ziba, the imperfect servant, and how God uses people despite their flaws to advance His plans.
Not everyone God sends will be perfect, flawless, or predictable. Ziba was not without faults — yet he became the bridge between David and Mephibosheth.
Your breakthrough may come through someone who is flawed, but God can still use that connection to fulfill His purpose.
⚡ 1. Spiritually — God Uses Imperfect People
Ziba’s character was complicated, but God used him as a vehicle for blessing.
Spiritually, God’s plan doesn’t wait for perfection — He works through willingness.
🔑 Truth: God can turn human imperfection into divine purpose.
💔 2. Emotionally — Trusting The Process
Mephibosheth could have judged Ziba’s motives.
Emotionally, it takes faith to accept help from those who are flawed or unpredictable.
🔑 Truth: Trusting God’s orchestration requires faith beyond human evaluation.
🪙 3. Practically — Breakthrough Come Through Connections
Ziba brought David’s provision and guidance to Mephibosheth.
Practically, opportunities often arrive through others, not always how or whom you expect.
🔑 Truth: Value the connections God provides, even if imperfect.
👥 4. Socially — Relationships As Divine Channels
God often uses human relationships as instruments of destiny.
Socially, this teaches patience, discernment, and humility in accepting divine opportunities.
🔑 Truth: Every person God places in your life may have a role in your breakthrough.
🛑 Key Lesson Of Part 5
God can use imperfect people as instruments to fulfill His perfect plan.
Your breakthrough may not look like you expect, and the messenger may not be flawless — but God’s purpose is always secure.
🧠 Reflection Questions
Have you ever received help from someone you didn’t fully trust or who wasn’t perfect?
How can you shift your focus from the messenger to God’s purpose in your life?
How do you respond when God connects you to imperfect people for your destiny?
🙏 Prayer
Lord, help me trust Your process even when people around me are imperfect. Teach me to see Your hand in connections and relationships. Let me receive Your blessings through the channels You provide. Amen.
In Part 6, we explore “Called Out of Lodebar”
how to respond correctly when opportunity finally knocks on your door.

Let this word travel beyond you.
If it challenged how you see connections and relationships, let it change how you trust God in the people He brings.

Be a witness—
carry hope from your hidden place toward the purpose God has for you.
