THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD: ELISHA AND THE WIDOW'S JAR OF OIL PART 5: THE DISCIPLINE OF THE SECRET PLACE — WHEN MIRACLES REQUIRE CLOSED DOORS 2 KINGS 4:4-5 In Part 4, we learned that miracles often involve movement, obedience, and action. The widow was instructed to go out, borrow vessels, and gather what was needed. We saw that God’s instructions often require participation, and that obedience is a key that unlocks divine provision. Now the story moves from the outside world into the inside space of encounter. After the vessels were gathered, something very significant happens in the process of the miracle. The next instruction is not about movement—but about isolation. God begins to shift the widow from public obedience to private encounter. In 2 Kings 4:4-5, Elisha gives a new instruction: “ Go in and shut the door behind you and your sons … ” This moment is deeply spiritual. Before the oil flows, the door must be closed. This teaches us that some dimensions of God’s power are ...

POLLINATION: SPREADING THE SEEDS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS PART 4: METHODS OF POLLINATION

POLLINATION: SPREADING THE SEEDS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
PART 4: METHODS OF POLLINATION

Understanding Your Assignment in God’s Ecosystem

1 Corinthians 12:4-6

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.”

In our last session, we explored Cross-Pollination:

Growth is meant to flow outward, not stay isolated. Spiritual, intellectual, and relational development must be shared.

One believer, properly moved by the Spirit, can influence hundreds, even thousands.

The key question now is: “How exactly am I meant to pollinate?” Not everyone spreads life the same way, and that’s okay—God designed diversity in the Kingdom.

Different Methods, Same Purpose

In nature, pollination happens in multiple ways:

Bees: Move actively from flower to flower, transferring pollen.

Wind: Sweeps pollen quietly, covering great distances.

Birds: Carry seeds to new lands, expanding growth beyond their immediate environment.

In the Kingdom:

Some are evangelists (bees)—active, personal, and intentional.

Some are intercessors/prayer warriors (wind)—quiet, pervasive, invisible but far-reaching.

Some are mentors, teachers, and church builders (birds)—moving influence into new territories and generations.

God uses diversity to multiply life efficiently and effectively.

Spiritually

Bee-style believers: Actively engage others, visit, counsel, preach, evangelize.

Wind-style believers: Pray persistently, lift intercessions, influence atmospheres, cover communities spiritually.

Bird-style believers: Build institutions, mentor leaders, start movements, plant ministries.

Truth: No method is inferior; all are required for a thriving Kingdom ecosystem.

Physically

Just as in fitness or work:

Bee-type: Active trainers, coaches, personal motivators.

Wind-type: Silent yet consistent habits—discipline, consistency, accountability.

Bird-type: Visionaries who move others into new programs, teams, or systems.

Different approaches, but all contribute to overall health and growth.

Educationally

Bee-style: Peer tutoring, study groups, active teaching.

Wind-style: Research, observation, content creation that reaches many quietly.

Bird-style: Curriculum developers, school founders, mentorship programs.

Knowledge thrives when all styles work together.

Relational & Marital Application

Bee-style: Spouses and friends who actively nurture and encourage.

Wind-style: Partners who pray, support quietly, and influence atmospheres in the home.

Bird-style: Leaders in family or community who guide and mentor future generations.

Relationships grow strongest when diverse approaches are respected and integrated.

National Application

Bee-style: Community influencers, local outreach, grassroots impact.

Wind-style: Advocates for justice, prayer movements, silent integrity in governance.

Bird-style: Visionaries, reformers, policy-makers, founders of institutions.

Ghana will rise when all methods of pollination are activated together, honoring God’s diversity in calling.

Illustration: The Kingdom Ecosystem

Imagine a garden:

Bees darting, flowers producing fruit immediately. Wind sweeping pollen silently across distant fields. Birds carrying seeds to uninhabited soil, creating new gardens. Each is doing a different job, yet all are essential.

Kingdom impact works the same way: diverse roles, unified purpose.

Reflection

Which method of pollination has God uniquely assigned to me?

Am I trying to do what belongs to someone else?

How can I work in harmony with others to maximize Kingdom impact?

Prayer

Lord, please show me my pollination style. Help me flourish where You planted me, and flow where You call me. Use my gifts to multiply righteousness, truth, and faith in every sphere of life. Let my influence, like bees, wind, or birds, produce fruit that glorifies You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
