THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 12: FINAL LAP: THE PROFITABLE LIFE — WHEN THE SOUL IS PRESERVED AND REWARDED Matthew 25:21 “Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”  In Part 11, we stood before the eternal verdict. We learned that: Eternity reveals what life concealed. The verdict is based on response, not information. What you lived—not what you claimed—will speak. He managed life well… but neglected his soul. After all the warnings…after all the losses… after all the consequences…There is still a question: “ What does it mean to truly profit?”  Because not all profit is dangerous. There is a kind of gain…that heaven approves. A life where nothing essential is lost—and everything that matters is preserved. The Profitable Life — When The Soul Is Preserved And Rewarded A profitable life is not measured by how much you have…but by what you keep. It is a life where: Your soul is intact. THE CALL BEYOND THE WALL. PART 9: CATCH THE LITTLE FOXES

THE CALL BEYOND THE WALL.
PART 9: CATCH THE LITTLE FOXES

Song of Songs 2:15

“Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.”

Ama had entered a beautiful season. Her heart had come alive again. Fruit—spiritual maturity, peace, even influence—was beginning to grow. The Voice that once called her from behind the wall was now leading her forward, and others had started to notice the fragrance of God upon her life. But with growth comes responsibility. What God plants, we must protect.

📜 Verse Breakdown and Imagery

This verse introduces a powerful metaphor:

Little foxes” – In biblical times, foxes were known for sneaking into vineyards to nibble at roots, steal blossoms, or uproot vines. “Little” implies that these aren’t major sins or obvious enemies, but subtle compromises, distractions, and unhealed wounds.

Spoil the vineyards” – The vineyard represents your spiritual growth, relationships, character, and purpose. Foxes don’t destroy all at once—they ruin things gradually, quietly, without warning.

Our vineyards are in blossom” – This is what makes the warning urgent. The Beloved isn’t anxious—He’s protective. He says, “Don’t let anything small rob you of what we’ve built.”

Spiritually, Jesus calls us to identify and catch the small things that can quietly undo the very joy, intimacy, and fruit we’ve fought to grow.

🕊️ Ama’s Story: “The Sneaky Ones

It started small.

Ama skipped her early quiet time once because she was tired. Then again because of school stress. Then she spent two hours scrolling on TikTok—mindless but numbing. Then she caught herself gossiping lightly with a friend.

No big deal, right?

Until she noticed she hadn’t prayed deeply in four days. She was snapping at people. Her peace was thinning. And worse—she was okay with it.

During a campus Bible study, someone read Song of Songs 2:15 aloud:

Catch the foxes, the little foxes…

Her chest tightened. She knew what the foxes were.

They weren’t evil, just sneaky:

Delayed obedience

Half-hearted devotion

Mismanaged time

Quiet pride

She whispered a prayer:

Lord, help me catch what I’ve allowed to roam.”

My beloved is mine, and I am his; he grazes among the lilies.”
