THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 2 — THE MIRACLE THAT CHANGED NOTHING… YET
Ecclesiastes 12:14
God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil.” –
Our flags were at half-mast.
The nation’s heart was heavy. In the days following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight of Ghana’s finest — two ministers, three crew members, and other gallant heroes — the whole nation was grieving. News channels repeated the details; social media was flooded with condolences.
It was one of those moments where silence feels heavier than words.
As the nation continued to mourn, I tuned into one of my regular YouTube stops — the channel of a blogger I follow closely, known to many as The Headless YouTuber. I often comment there using his real-name initials, FM.
Although he’s no more anonymous to the general public than before, he remains true to his style — insightful, witty, and bold. But on that day, something unusual happened.
In the middle of his commentary on the crash, he briefly mentioned the term “black box.” The phrase was already buzzing across every media outlet, but his remark carried something different. It was like a fisherman casting a hook into the sea of my thoughts — and I was caught. That single line gripped me more than all the headlines combined, and it pulled me into a journey of deeper research.
The word lodged in my mind. Why was it so important? Why did investigators seem to treat it like the heartbeat of the entire investigation?
His mention was short, almost passing — but it sent me on a mission. I began researching what the black box was, how it was built, why it survives what destroys everything else, and how its data is retrieved.
I learned it is virtually indestructible — designed to survive intense heat, crushing pressure, and deep water. It records everything: the voices in the cockpit, instrument readings, decisions made — right up to the final moment. Though called a black box, its real color is a striking orange — a design choice to make it stand out even in the darkest wreckage.
And then it hit me — in the flight of life, we all carry our own “black boxes.”
One day, we will all stand before the Final Investigator at the end-time harvest, when “God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14). No fire, no crash, no loss will erase the truth of what we’ve lived.
And so, this series was born — The Black Box: Finding the Truth After the Crash — a balanced journey through physical, spiritual, emotional, and relational life lessons, drawn from the resilience and purpose of this small but mighty device.
🔍 Reflection
Life’s “black box” moments remind us that God preserves truth even amid wreckage. Like investigators retrieving data, the Spirit searches the hidden places of our lives — not to shame us, but to restore alignment.
You can crash financially, emotionally, or even in ministry, but if your “core data” — your true heart — is intact in Christ, recovery is still possible. The question is: Will your black box reveal a life of integrity or one of hidden contradictions?
📌 Call to Action
Acknowledge that nothing is truly hidden from God — not in the air, not on earth, not in the heart.
Invite Him to examine your “core recorder” — your motives, thoughts, and patterns.
Commit to living so that if the data of your life is ever “retrieved,” it will glorify God.
🗣️ Let’s Talk
If your life had a black box, what would be recorded about how you handle pressure?
Are there “hidden files” you hope no one ever plays back?
How would your spiritual “voice recorder” sound if God played it today?
🙏🏽Prayer
Lord, search the depths of my heart and preserve in me the truth that pleases You. Burn away every false record and align my life so that the story it tells is one of faith, integrity, and love. May the black box of my life testify to Your grace, even after the hardest crashes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
