THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD: ELISHA AND THE WIDOW'S JAR OF OIL PART 9: THE FINAL SHIFT — WHEN GOD TURNS PROVISION INTO PURPOSE 2 KINGS 4:7 In Part 7, we discovered that the flow of oil stopped not because God stopped, but because the vessels were finished. We learned that God’s supply is unlimited, but human capacity determines how much we receive. The limitation was never in God—it was in available vessels. Now the story reaches its climax: what God does with the miracle after it is completed. Every miracle from God is not just about survival—it is about assignment. God does not only bring people out of crisis; He brings them into purpose. In this final movement of the story, provision becomes responsibility, and responsibility becomes destiny. In 2 Kings 4:7, the woman returns to Elisha, and she receives a divine instruction: “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt. You and your sons can live on the rest.” This moment is the final shift of the entire miracle. What began a...

DON'T WASTE YOUR WAITING. PART 7: THE MINISTRY OF AVAILABILITY

DON'T WASTE YOUR WAITING.
PART 7: THE MINISTRY OF AVAILABILITY

Isaiah 6:8

“Here I am, send me.”

Recap of Part 6:

We learned that serving while you wait is not optional—it’s a catalyst for growth and a magnet for God’s favor. We saw that service sharpens your readiness, trains your spirit, and connects you to divine opportunities.

One of the most underrated spiritual gifts is being available. Talent impresses people, but availability positions you for God’s timing. Sometimes the breakthrough is not about being the most gifted—it’s about being the one who shows up when the King calls.

1) Availability Over Ability (Spiritual)

God doesn’t need your perfection; He needs your “yes.”

Many in scripture (like Moses, Gideon, and Mary) didn’t feel qualified, but their willingness made them usable.

Your divine connection often starts with, “Lord, here I am.”

2) Flexibility for God’s Interruptions (Emotional/Mental)

Availability means allowing God to disrupt your schedule.

Keep margins in your life for God to rearrange your plans.

Anxiety decreases when you accept that God’s interruptions are invitations.

3) The Power of Showing Up (Physical)

Show up at prayer meetings, community outreach, study groups, and mentoring sessions—consistency opens unseen doors.

Presence speaks louder than excuses.

4) People Remember Who Was There (Relational/Social)

Jonathan was available to David in his hardest moments; Ruth was available to Naomi when everyone else left.

Your presence in someone’s low season can bond you for life.

Balanced Life Application

Spiritual: Each morning, pray, “Lord, I’m available today. Use me where you need me.”

Physical: Keep your body in shape to be ready for unexpected assignments.

Emotional/Mental: Practice releasing your schedule to God.

Relational/Social: Intentionally check in on two people each week—availability builds trust.

Reflection

Where am I too busy for God to interrupt me?

Who needs my availability this week—physically, emotionally, spiritually?

Prayer

Lord, I surrender my calendar, my comfort, and my control to You. Make me available when You call, willing when You lead, and joyful in the service You assign me. Amen.
