WHILE WE WAIT, GOD IS WORKING
PART 6: THE CYRUS CONNECTION


Isaiah 45:1-3

“This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him... I will go before you and level the mountains... I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord...”


🔁 Recap of Part 5 – A God Who Keeps Calendars

We were reminded that God keeps time better than clocks do. His promises are not guesses—they are appointments.

Even in long seasons of silence, God is still working—preparing both the promise and the people.



💡Message:

While the Israelites wept by the rivers of Babylon, God was silently working in the background—raising Cyrus in Persia.

He was preparing a man named Cyrus—a future king—who would one day issue a decree to set the exiles free.


Here’s the mystery:

Cyrus wasn’t even born when Jeremiah prophesied.

Yet God already had his name on file (Isaiah 45:1) and his mission in motion.


God doesn’t start planning when you start praying—He’s always ahead.


Cyrus was born, trained, raised to power, and moved by divine hand—all in line with God’s calendar.

This tells us something:


God has already started working on your answer—before you ever knew you had a question.




🔍 Spiritual Insight:

Cyrus wasn’t even a Jew. He wasn’t part of the covenant people.

But God anointed him, called him “My shepherd,” and used him as a vessel of deliverance.


God can use unexpected people in unexpected places to bring about expected results.


But here’s the key: What if the Israelites had stopped praying?

What if they forgot to intercede for their future deliverer?


The truth is, while we wait for breakthrough, we must intercede for the people God is raising to help us.



🤲🏾 Your Call to Action: Intercede for Your Cyrus


Pray for:

The decision-makers who don’t know your name but will one day favor you.


The mentor, helper, investor, or spouse God is equipping right now.


The friend or leader who will one day obey God’s call and be the key to your release.


Cyrus is not just a person. He’s a principle: God raises people for purpose.



🧠 Practical Life Lesson:

You may feel forgotten, delayed, or buried.

But while you wait, God is networking, aligning, and preparing your breakthrough in the background.


Your responsibility is:


Stay faithful.


Stay prepared.


And stay in intercession.


Because the gate may not open until your Cyrus arrives—and your prayers could be the final push he needs to obey.




🙏🏽Prayer

Lord, while I wait, help me to pray for those You are raising on my behalf. I release every Cyrus You’ve ordained into divine obedience and alignment. Use them for Your glory and my freedom.
