THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 2 — THE MIRACLE THAT CHANGED NOTHING… YET

THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 2 — THE MIRACLE THAT CHANGED NOTHING… YET Luke 5:6–7 “And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”  When Blessing Is Not the Final Destination In Part 1, we learned that empty seasons do not always mean failure. Peter and his companions toiled all night and caught nothing, yet that same moment of frustration became the setting for a divine encounter. We discovered that: God often visits people in seasons of exhaustion. Empty nets can prepare us for dependence on God. And one act of obedience can change everything. Peter’s failure was not the end — it was preparation for revelation. After a whole night of failure, the miracle finally came. The nets that were once empty suddenly became full. The boats that carried disappointment suddenly carried abundance. This was the biggest catch of Peter’s life. Yet something shocking happened: The miracle changed their condition temporarily, but it was not ...

THE BLACK BOX: FINDING THE TRUTH AFTER THE CRASH PART 4: THE COCKPIT VOICE RECORDER (CVR): CONVERSATIONS THAT CAN SAVE OR SINK YOU

THE BLACK BOX: FINDING THE TRUTH AFTER THE CRASH
PART 4: THE COCKPIT VOICE RECORDER (CVR): CONVERSATIONS THAT CAN SAVE OR SINK YOU

Proverbs 18:21

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."

Recap of Part 3:

We learned how the flight data recorder captures every hidden metric of a journey, reminding us that God also records the unseen details of our lives — spiritually, physically, emotionally, relationally, and mentally.

The cockpit voice recorder (CVR) is the other half of the black box.

It captures every conversation, every instruction, every urgent warning, and sometimes even background noises that give clues about what happened. In an investigation, the CVR often reveals whether crew members worked in harmony or clashed in chaos.

That hit me hard — because our lives have “voice recordings” too.

What we say to ourselves.

What we say to others.

What we allow others to speak into us.

Spiritually, your voice builds or destroys faith. Speaking God’s Word aloud feeds your soul, while complaining weakens it.

Physically, words can motivate healthy action or excuse destructive habits (“I’m too tired to exercise” vs. “I can do this”).

Emotionally, your self-talk can either calm a storm inside or stir it up into panic.

Relationally, words are bridges or bombs. A careless tone can damage trust; a gentle word can heal wounds.

Mentally, repeated phrases become beliefs — and beliefs shape behaviour.

💡Life Lesson:

Your “cockpit” is your inner circle and your personal mind space. If what’s being said there is toxic, your journey will drift off course — even if everything else seems fine.

Reflection:

What conversations have been on repeat in your life lately? Are they aligning you with God’s flight plan or pulling you toward a crash?

Call to Action:

For the next 24 hours, track your words and your inner self-talk. Replace every negative or doubtful phrase with a faith-filled one.

💬 Let’s Talk:

What’s one phrase you want to eliminate from your daily speech?

Who in your “cockpit” needs a word of encouragement from you today?

🙏Prayer

Lord, set a guard over my mouth and filter my ears. May my words bring life, healing, and direction — and may my heart receive only what aligns with Your truth. Amen.
