THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 2 — THE MIRACLE THAT CHANGED NOTHING… YET

THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 2 — THE MIRACLE THAT CHANGED NOTHING… YET Luke 5:6–7 “And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”  When Blessing Is Not the Final Destination In Part 1, we learned that empty seasons do not always mean failure. Peter and his companions toiled all night and caught nothing, yet that same moment of frustration became the setting for a divine encounter. We discovered that: God often visits people in seasons of exhaustion. Empty nets can prepare us for dependence on God. And one act of obedience can change everything. Peter’s failure was not the end — it was preparation for revelation. After a whole night of failure, the miracle finally came. The nets that were once empty suddenly became full. The boats that carried disappointment suddenly carried abundance. This was the biggest catch of Peter’s life. Yet something shocking happened: The miracle changed their condition temporarily, but it was not ...

WHILE WE WAIT, GOD IS WORKING
PART 3: SEEK THE PEACE OF BABYLON

Jeremiah 29:7

“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

🔄 Recap of Part 2 – The God Who Sees Ahead

In Part 2, we learned that God is not surprised by your waiting season. Just like He was already working behind the scenes with Cyrus decades before the Israelites were freed, God is preparing people, places, and processes that will align with your breakthrough—even when you don’t see it yet.

📖 Text – Jeremiah 29:7 (NIV)

“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

💭 Message Overview:

It sounds upside down, doesn’t it?

You're in a land you didn’t choose, surrounded by systems that broke your heart… and yet God says:

“Seek its peace. Pray for it. Because your prosperity is tied to it.”

God was reminding His people:

Even in exile, they were not victims—they were vessels.

They were to pray, not protest.

To bless, not curse.

To sow, not shrink.

⚖️ Balanced Life Lessons

💒 Spiritual:

Prayer is not only for your comfort zone. God wants you to intercede for the environment you’re placed in—even when it’s uncomfortable.

🤝 Social/Relational:

Your peace may come through people and systems you don’t fully understand or agree with. Influence by intercession.

💼 Practical:

Thriving in tough places starts with a decision:

Will you spend your energy fighting the place—or planting seeds of peace in it?

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, help me to shift my perspective.

Instead of resentment, give me compassion.

Instead of cursing the place I’m in, teach me to pray for its peace—because that peace will reach me too.

📌 Call to Action:

Write a short prayer for your school, workplace, city, or nation—even if it’s not where you hoped to be.

📖 Remember: "If it prospers, you too will prosper."

💬 Let’s Talk:

Why do you think God wants us to pray for the peace of places that caused us pain?

Have you ever experienced blessing while serving in a difficult or unfamiliar place?

🔜 Teaser for Part 4:

God doesn’t just want you to wait in Babylon—He wants you to grow through it.

In Part 4, we explore the hidden strength of rootedness and growth in hard soil.
