PART 6: WHEN THE SPIRIT SHINES THROUGH

RECAP OF PART 5

In Part 5, we explored the wall socket as a symbol of God, our ultimate power source. Just like a phone plugged into a socket through a charger, the believer must remain connected to God through Jesus to access divine strength. We learned that even the most anointed tool becomes powerless if unplugged from God. The Church in Acts grew because it was rooted in that divine source.


Have you ever noticed how a phone emits a soft glowing light or a symbol when it’s charging? That glow isn’t the charge itself—it’s the evidence that charging is happening. In our spiritual journey, this glow is the presence of the Holy Spirit made visible in our lives. This is more than just being connected—it is the visible, tangible, and impactful expression of divine empowerment.


The Holy Spirit doesn’t come into our lives to stay hidden. His presence is meant to transform us from within and reflect outwardly—through wisdom, love, power, and unshakable faith. This is the glow that Stephen carried—a glow that no one could deny, even his enemies.


In Acts 6:10, we read:

“But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.”


This wasn’t ordinary human wisdom or boldness. Stephen’s glow came from a deep internal infilling and connection with the Holy Spirit. The early Church didn’t just appoint skillful men—they looked for those who glowed with God's Spirit.


Much like the glowing light around a phone signals it’s actively charging, the believer’s glow is made visible through:


Unusual wisdom in difficult situations


Boldness to speak truth in love


Compassion in service


Peace in conflict


Power in weakness


The glowing light is not self-made. It’s not charisma. It’s a supernatural manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s residence in a life that’s yielded, filled, and connected.

Just as Stephen's ministry was marked by wisdom and spiritual power, every believer is called to shine—not by trying harder, but by yielding deeper. The Spirit's presence empowers, transforms, and makes a visible difference in a world that needs light.

Do you glow, or are you just plugged in with no sign of transformation?

Is your spiritual presence noticeable—not in showiness, but in wisdom, peace, and influence?

When people encounter you, do they feel the difference Christ makes?

Holy Spirit, I don’t just want to be connected—I want to glow. Let Your presence so fill me that Your wisdom, love, and power become evident in my life. Help me live in a way that reflects You to everyone I meet. May I not only be charged but shine with Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
