THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 2 — THE MIRACLE THAT CHANGED NOTHING… YET

THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 2 — THE MIRACLE THAT CHANGED NOTHING… YET Luke 5:6–7 “And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”  When Blessing Is Not the Final Destination In Part 1, we learned that empty seasons do not always mean failure. Peter and his companions toiled all night and caught nothing, yet that same moment of frustration became the setting for a divine encounter. We discovered that: God often visits people in seasons of exhaustion. Empty nets can prepare us for dependence on God. And one act of obedience can change everything. Peter’s failure was not the end — it was preparation for revelation. After a whole night of failure, the miracle finally came. The nets that were once empty suddenly became full. The boats that carried disappointment suddenly carried abundance. This was the biggest catch of Peter’s life. Yet something shocking happened: The miracle changed their condition temporarily, but it was not ...

WHEN HEAVEN DOWNLOADS POWER: REFILLING VS INFILLING.
PART 5: STAY PLUGGED INTO THE SOURCE

Acts 6:1-10

RECAP OF PART 4

In Part 4, we examined the charger as a symbol of Jesus, our Mediator. Just as a charger connects a device to a power source, Jesus connects believers to God, making divine power accessible for spiritual function. We emphasized that connection to Jesus is what makes us useful vessels for God’s kingdom, as seen in Acts 6:5 when Stephen was described as “full of faith and the Holy Spirit.”

In this part of our journey, we shift our focus to the wall socket, the power source that makes charging even possible. In our spiritual walk, the wall socket represents God Himself—the unchanging, unlimited, and sovereign supplier of strength, direction, and divine empowerment.

Every mobile phone—no matter how advanced—becomes useless if the socket it's plugged into has no power. In the same way, even the most gifted believer cannot function without the supply that comes directly from God. The charger (Jesus) makes the connection, but the power comes from the socket—God.

God is not a backup plan or optional upgrade. He is the origin of power, strength, wisdom, love, and purpose. In Acts 6:7, we see the unmistakable results of staying connected to Him:

“And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.”

This was not random growth—it was God-fueled. The early Church experienced multiplication, breakthrough, and even penetration into religious systems because their leaders and systems were plugged directly into God.

Like a socket hidden behind the scenes, God may not always be in the spotlight, but He is always the source behind every miracle, wisdom, strategy, and anointed service.

Many believers try to run on talents, connections, routines, or even past infillings—but without fresh power from God, everything fades. Staying plugged into God means:

Daily dependence on His Word

Intentional communion through prayer

Yieldedness to His will and direction

Recognizing that apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5)

The early deacons were chosen not just because they were wise but because they were full of God's Spirit and power, a supply that can only come from the Source Himself.

🔑 KEY POINT

God, as the wall socket, is the true and ultimate source of all spiritual power. Without being connected to Him, every other tool—no matter how good—remains powerless. In Acts 6:7, the spiritual success of the early Church was directly tied to their rootedness in God’s divine strength. The Word of God increased, and even priests became obedient to the faith because the believers stayed connected to the Source—God Himself.

🔎 REFLECTION

What is your wall socket? Where does your spiritual power truly come from?

Are you relying on good works, routines, or past experiences to fuel your walk with God, or are you daily plugging into the Source?

Remember: no matter how sophisticated your charger (ministry, knowledge, gifts), it means nothing if your socket (God) is not active in your life.

🙏🏾PRAYER

Father, I recognize that You are the true and only Source of power in my life. Keep me from the temptation of relying on empty routines and appearances. Help me stay connected to You through Your Word, through Jesus, and by the Holy Spirit. I don't want to glow on the outside and be empty on the inside. Fill me with Your power daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
