BEYOND EHUD: THE LEFT-HANDED WARRIORS OF BENJAMIN PART 1: THE TRIBE THAT CARRIED AN UNUSUAL HAND Judges 20:16 (NLT) "Among Benjamin's elite troops were 700 select left-handed warriors, each of whom could sling a stone and hit a target within a hair's breadth, without missing." The story of Ehud introduced us to a powerful truth: God can use what people overlook. Ehud was not chosen because he fit human expectations. He was chosen because God saw purpose in what others may have considered unusual. His left-handedness was not a limitation. It was part of God's strategy. But after the story of Ehud, Scripture reveals something even more remarkable. Ehud was not the only left-handed warrior connected to Benjamin. There was a company of them. Seven hundred elite warriors. Men whose difference became their advantage. Men whose unusual ability became a weapon in the hands of God. This takes us beyond Ehud. A Tribe With A Surprising Identity The warriors of Judges 20 came...

THE BLACK BOX: FINDING THE TRUTH AFTER THE CRASH
PART 9: WEATHERING THE STORM: WHY PILOTS STUDY BAD WEATHER BEFORE THEY FLY

Mark 4:39-40

"He rebuked the wind and said to the waves, 'Quiet! Be still!' Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to His disciples, 'Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?'"

Recap of Part 8:

We explored the danger of ignoring life’s alarms — spiritually, physically, emotionally, and relationally. We learned that alarms aren’t irritations; they’re invitations to act before it’s too late.

Every pilot knows storms are unavoidable. They don’t just hope for sunny skies — they study weather patterns, read forecasts, and prepare for turbulence before the wheels even leave the ground.

Why?

Because the time to prepare for a storm is not when you’re already in it.

Spiritually, storms test your trust in God. If you’ve been feeding your faith before trouble comes, you’ll have peace when the winds roar.

Physically, sudden sickness or health challenges hit differently when you’ve been caring for your body and building resilience.

Emotionally, storms can shake your self-worth if you haven’t anchored it in truth before the criticism, loss, or heartbreak comes.

Relationally, disagreements and distance are easier to navigate when trust and communication have been built in calm seasons.

💡Life Lesson:

Preparation doesn’t stop the storm — but it decides whether you crash in it or come through stronger.

🔁 Reflection:

If a storm hit today, would your faith, health, emotions, and relationships survive the turbulence?

🙏Prayer:

Lord, help me prepare in the quiet seasons so I can stand in the fierce ones. Teach me to read the signs, strengthen my foundations, and trust You when the winds rise. Amen.

💥 Call to Action:

Choose one area of life — spiritual, physical, emotional, or relational — and take one step this week to strengthen it before the next storm.

💬 Let’s Talk:

How has a past storm taught you to prepare better?

What habits help you stay strong before trouble hits?
