THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 12: FINAL LAP: THE PROFITABLE LIFE — WHEN THE SOUL IS PRESERVED AND REWARDED
Hebrews 3:15
"Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts."
Recap of Part 7:
We discovered how small decisions create a chain of events that can lead to either life or disaster. We saw that ignoring little issues is often what causes the big crashes.
In every aircraft, there are alarms — blinking lights, loud beeps, and spoken warnings.
Yet, in many accident reports, investigators note: the alarms were sounding… but no one acted in time.
Sometimes, the crew had heard so many false alarms before that they no longer paid attention. Other times, they froze, hoping the sound would stop on its own.
Life mirrors this perfectly.
Spiritually, God may send subtle nudges — a sermon that stirs you, a scripture that convicts you, a friend’s warning — yet we sometimes delay obedience until the cost is higher.
Physically, your body might be signaling fatigue, stress, or pain, but you keep pushing until you collapse.
Emotionally, your inner alarm may warn you about toxic environments or unhealthy relationships, but you stay for fear of change.
Relationally, repeated signs of tension may be present, but you choose to “avoid drama” until it becomes unavoidable.
💡Life Lesson:
Alarms are not there to annoy you — they’re there to save you. The longer you delay responding, the closer you get to impact.
Reflection:
What “alarms” have been sounding in your life lately?
Have you been hitting the snooze button instead of responding?
💥 Call to Action:
This week, write down one warning you’ve been ignoring — spiritual, physical, emotional, or relational — and take one step to address it.
💬 Let’s Talk:
Have you ever ignored a warning and regretted it?
What helped you learn to trust God’s alerts in your life?
🙏Prayer:
Lord, make my heart sensitive to Your alarms. Help me act promptly when you warn me, and give me the courage to make changes before disaster strikes. Amen.
