THE ENVOYS OF BABYLON: PROTECTING YOUR GOD-GIVEN TREASURES PART 3: THE SILVER — PROTECTING THE PURITY OF YOUR REDEMPTION Isaiah 39:2; Psalm 12:6; 1 Peter 1:18–19 "...Hezekiah showed them his treasure house, the silver..." (Isaiah 39:2). In Part 2, we discovered that the first treasure Hezekiah exposed was his treasure house, representing the human heart. We learned that before the enemy attacks our possessions, he seeks access to our hearts because everything we do flows from there. A guarded heart is the foundation for a guarded life. Today, we move to the first treasure inside the treasure house. God's treasures are not arranged by accident. After mentioning the treasure house, Scripture immediately mentions the silver . This reminds us that after guarding our hearts, we must also guard the work of redemption God has accomplished within us. - "...Hezekiah showed them his treasure house, the silver..." (Isaiah 39:2). FINAL LAP: THE DECISION THAT DEFINES YOU


Luke 9:23 (NIV)

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”


In Part 10, we discovered that surrender is not loss—it is an exchange. Jesus Christ assured us that no one who leaves anything for Him will go unrewarded. What you give up for God will never compare to what He gives back.


Opening Thought 

At the end of it all, following Jesus comes down to one thing:

a decision.

Not a feeling.

Not a moment.

Not a temporary commitment.

But a daily decision.

“Deny yourself… take up your cross… follow Me.”

This is not a one-time act.

It is a lifestyle of surrender.

The cross is not just about suffering—it is about death to self.

Your preferences.

Following Jesus means:

You no longer live for yourself—you live led by Him.

Will I follow Jesus completely—or conditionally?

Completely means “Lord, anything, anytime, anywhere”

Conditionally means “Lord, as long as it fits my plan”

This decision determines:

Many people want:

the benefits of following Jesus.

the blessings.

the breakthroughs.

But hesitate at:

denial.

sacrifice.

surrender.

Yet the truth remains:

There is no crown without the cross.
