Numbers 10:29-32
Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, his father-in-law, “We are journeying to the place the Lord promised to give us. Come with us, and we will treat you well, for the Lord has spoken good concerning Israel.”
But Hobab replied, “I will not go, but return to my own land and family.”
Then Moses said, “Please do not leave us. You know how we are to camp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes. And if you go with us, whatever good the Lord does to us, we will do to you.”
Welcome to part 13 of the final lap of our Series, Hobab: Partnership, Collaboration, and Guide for the Journey.
Previously, we learned that the Gospel must be lived, not just spoken. Moses' life validated his invitation to Hobab—just as our lives should reflect the Christ we preach, making it easier for others to believe.
In Numbers 10:29, Moses said to Hobab, "Come with us, and we will treat you well." This simple invitation mirrors the greatest invitation ever offered—Jesus calling us into rest, purpose, and eternal life. The journey of faith is never meant to be exclusive. It’s a table with room for more.
The Gospel is God’s invitation to every soul—regardless of background, baggage, or brokenness. Our calling is not just to accept this invitation for ourselves, but to extend it to others in every season of life.
Scripture Focus:
"Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.’" — Luke 14:23
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28
Life Application:
Moses’ invitation wasn’t passive—it was persuasive. In the same way, let’s make it a point to extend Jesus’ call with compassion and urgency. Whether in small acts of kindness or bold conversations, every believer is an ambassador of the Great Invitation.
The journey is ongoing, and God’s house still has room. You are not just a traveler—you’re a guide, a herald, a bridge for others to meet Jesus. Say it with your life, your love, and your lips: “Come with us, and we will treat you well, for the Lord has promised good things.”
REFLECTION:
Who do I need to invite into the journey of faith?
Am I actively opening the door of salvation through my words and actions?
Call to Action:
This week, reach out to someone with a gentle but clear invitation: to church, to prayer, to explore Jesus. Be the voice that says, “Come with us.”
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for the invitation to walk with You. As I journey with You, help me extend that same invitation to those who are lost, lonely, or searching. Let me be a voice of love and hope, calling others home to You. Amen.

🏁 Final Thought – The Journey Continues...
Though this is the final part of our Hobab Series, the mission doesn’t end here.
You are now equipped to walk, invite, guide, and honor others on this journey of faith.
Keep the invitation alive. Keep walking with purpose. There’s still room at the table.
