THE SURROGATE JOURNEY: BIRTHING PURPOSE THROUGH OTHERS.  PART 3: THE WEIGHT OF THE WOMB — WHEN CARRYING GETS COMPLICATED Genesis 16:5–6 Then Sarai said to Abram, ‘You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering. I put my servant in your arms, and now that she knows she is pregnant, she despises me.’ Then Sarai mistreated Hagar; so she fled from her.” (NIV) 🔁 Quick Recap: In Part 2 , we met Hagar, the Egyptian servant chosen by Sarai to carry her child. Though not her dream, not her plan, and not her baby—she became the carrier of a promise she didn’t initiate. We learned how sometimes we are called to be the “other woman” in someone else’s destiny story—carrying, serving, interceding, and pushing someone else’s dream forward. 🤰 The Blessing that Brought Bitterness Hagar became pregnant. She was carrying the long-awaited seed. She should have been celebrated. But instead… she was mistreated. The one who chose her now chased her. The one who needed her now neglected her. The woman...

THE LIFE CYCLE OF SIN AS CHILDBEARING PART 10: MINERALS OF PRAYER – ENRICHING THE WOMB OF YOUR SPIRIT

THE LIFE CYCLE OF SIN AS CHILDBEARING
PART 10: MINERALS OF PRAYER – ENRICHING THE WOMB OF YOUR SPIRIT

James 1:15

Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

RECAP of part 9

In Part 9, we reflected on the power of spiritual nourishment and how what we feed our spirit determines what grows within us. Today, we focus on one of the essential nutrients for spiritual growth—prayer, the "mineral" that strengthens, purifies, and revives our inner man.

Prayer: The Soul’s Spiritual Mineral

Just as minerals nourish the physical body—strengthening bones, organs, and immunity—prayer nourishes your spirit. It oxygenates your faith, detoxifies your soul, and sustains the life of God in you. Without prayer, the spiritual womb becomes dry, making it fertile ground for sin instead of righteousness.

In Luke 22:40–46, Jesus told His disciples to “pray so that you will not fall into temptation.” But they fell asleep, and their spiritual drowsiness made them vulnerable. That’s how many of us live—sleeping through the moments where prayer would have delivered us from temptation.

Prayer Builds Resistance and Sensitivity

Prayer makes us sensitive to the Holy Spirit and strong against temptation. It keeps the womb of our hearts warm with God’s presence, making it hostile to sin and welcoming to righteousness. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 urges us to “pray without ceasing,” not for religious routine, but for continual connection and strength.

God says in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call unto me, and I will answer you…” Prayer is our lifeline to the wisdom, strength, and direction we need to abort sin before it’s conceived and to nurture godly desires to full maturity.

Reflection

How often do you pray? Are your prayers alive, intimate, and consistent—or cold, rushed, and irregular? Remember, prayer isn’t just a discipline—it’s divine nourishment for the life you want to grow.

Call to Action

Set specific moments in your day to pause and pray. Whether in the morning, while commuting, or during lunch breaks, make prayer as natural and necessary as breathing. Strengthen your womb—pray daily.

PRAYER

Lord, restore the altar of prayer in my life. Let my heart burn with hunger for Your presence. Teach me to pray, not out of duty but from desire. Strengthen me through prayer to overcome every temptation. Amen.

Next Part:

In part 11, we’ll explore Fellowship as Iron—how meaningful spiritual community sharpens us, strengthens our faith, and helps us cultivate godly desires.

📌Let’s Talk

What’s one area of your life where prayer is lacking? What step will you take today to revive it?

Please kindly share your thoughts, testimonies, or questions—we grow better together.

Thank you!
