THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 12: FINAL LAP: THE PROFITABLE LIFE — WHEN THE SOUL IS PRESERVED AND REWARDED Matthew 25:21 “Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”  In Part 11, we stood before the eternal verdict. We learned that: Eternity reveals what life concealed. The verdict is based on response, not information. What you lived—not what you claimed—will speak. He managed life well… but neglected his soul. After all the warnings…after all the losses… after all the consequences…There is still a question: “ What does it mean to truly profit?”  Because not all profit is dangerous. There is a kind of gain…that heaven approves. A life where nothing essential is lost—and everything that matters is preserved. The Profitable Life — When The Soul Is Preserved And Rewarded A profitable life is not measured by how much you have…but by what you keep. It is a life where: Your soul is intact. DEALING WITH DIABETIC WOUNDS – A BALANCED DEVOTIONAL SERIES
PART 4: REMOVING THE DEAD TISSUE – THE PAINFUL BUT NECESSARY PROCESS.

Matthew 7:19

"Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire."

Recap of Part 3: The Cost of delay – Procrastination is Dangerous

In Part 3, we explored the high cost of delay. Procrastination, whether in health, faith, academics, or leadership, can lead to irreversible consequences. We were reminded that taking swift, intentional action is crucial before damage becomes permanent.

Healing isn’t just about noticing the wound or deciding to treat it—it’s about making the tough calls. When doctors treat diabetic wounds, one painful but life-saving step is removing the dead tissue. It may hurt, but it’s necessary to save the rest of the body. Likewise, there are things in our lives—habits, people, patterns—that must be cut off so we can truly heal and thrive.

Key Scripture:

"Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." – Matthew 7:19

LIFE APPLICATION:

When a body part dies, it threatens the whole body. The only solution is removal.

In life, some things must be cut off before they destroy everything:

Physically: Unhealthy habits (junk food, lack of exercise).

Academically/Career-wise: Unproductive habits (procrastination, laziness).

Spiritually: Sinful behaviors (pride, dishonesty, toxic friendships).

Leadership: Ineffective or corrupt officials.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

1. What “dead tissues” do you need to remove from your life (habits, relationships, behaviors)?

2. How can you create an environment for positive growth?

Make a bold decision today to remove what no longer serves your growth. Let go of a bad habit or toxic influence.

PRAYER:

Father, give me wisdom and strength to remove whatever hinders my spiritual, academic, and leadership growth. Amen.

📌Let’s Talk:

Have you ever had to let go of something—or someone—that was hindering your growth? How did it feel, and what changed after you made that choice? What “dead tissue” are you ready to remove now? Let’s grow through real stories and bold steps. Share your journey—we heal better together.

Thank you!
