THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD: ELISHA AND THE WIDOW'S JAR OF OIL PART 7: THE LIMIT OF VESSELS — WHEN THE FLOW STOPS 2 KINGS 4:6 In Part 6, we saw how the oil began to flow as the widow poured in obedience. The miracle continued as long as there were vessels available. We learned that God’s provision flows in response to faith in action, and that divine supply meets available capacity. Now we arrive at a crucial turning point in the story: the moment the flow stops. Every move of God has both a beginning and a completion point determined by readiness and capacity. In this passage, the miracle does not stop because God is unable to continue—but because something changes on the receiving side. In 2 Kings 4:6, Scripture records: “ When the vessels were full, she said to her son, ‘Bring me another vessel.’ And he said to her, ‘There is not another vessel.’ And the oil stopped.” This is one of the most revealing moments in the entire miracle. The oil did not stop because God withdrew it. T...

THE UNSTAINED GARMENT: CHOOSING PURITY OVER COMPROMISE PART 12

Revelation 3:4-5

4. “Yet there are some in the church in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes with evil. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.

5. All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.

Welcome to Part 12 of our series, The Unstained Garment: Choosing Purity Over Compromise.

In this chapter, we focus on Drawing Strength from God—acknowledging that true spiritual purity comes from His power working within us. Through prayer, studying His Word, and surrendering to the Holy Spirit, we can overcome life’s challenges and remain spiritually unstained.

3. Drawing Strength from God:

Just as plants draw their nutrients from the soil to grow and thrive, we must draw our strength from God through the Holy Spirit to sustain our spiritual purity on life’s journey. The apostles and faithful believers of old overcame trials by depending on God through prayer, Scripture, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Their reliance on God enabled them to remain steadfast despite challenges.

Practical Action: Develop daily habits of prayer, Bible study, and worship to strengthen your spiritual life and build resistance against temptation.

Scripture Reference: “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” — Psalm 119:11 (NKJV)

Our strength to live pure and holy lives comes from staying connected to God through His Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. When we depend on Him, we can overcome every spiritual challenge.

REFLECTION:

Are you drawing your daily strength from God, or are you trying to face life’s battles alone? Reflect on what spiritual habits you may have neglected and how you can realign with God as your source of power.

This week, commit to a consistent time of prayer and Bible study. Write down one promise from Scripture each day and meditate on it. Let God’s Word fuel your purity and peace.

PRAYER:

Lord, help me stay rooted in Your Word and draw strength from Your presence. Fill me with Your Spirit and keep me steadfast in my walk with You. Amen.
