THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD: ELISHA AND THE WIDOW'S JAR OF OIL PART 5: THE DISCIPLINE OF THE SECRET PLACE — WHEN MIRACLES REQUIRE CLOSED DOORS 2 KINGS 4:4-5 In Part 4, we learned that miracles often involve movement, obedience, and action. The widow was instructed to go out, borrow vessels, and gather what was needed. We saw that God’s instructions often require participation, and that obedience is a key that unlocks divine provision. Now the story moves from the outside world into the inside space of encounter. After the vessels were gathered, something very significant happens in the process of the miracle. The next instruction is not about movement—but about isolation. God begins to shift the widow from public obedience to private encounter. In 2 Kings 4:4-5, Elisha gives a new instruction: “ Go in and shut the door behind you and your sons … ” This moment is deeply spiritual. Before the oil flows, the door must be closed. This teaches us that some dimensions of God’s power are ...

PART 3: SHARE — USING YOUR INFLUENCE TO MULTIPLY THE KINGDOM

Matthew 28:19

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

In Part 2, we saw that liking is not passive — it is agreement.

We discovered that:

What you like reveals what you value.

Agreement shapes behavior.

Alignment determines growth.

Many people follow Jesus.

Some agree with Him.

But Kingdom impact begins when agreement moves outward.

And that brings us to today’s focus: Sharing.

1. Spiritual: The Kingdom Grows By Sharing, Not Hoarding

The Gospel was never designed for private enjoyment.

Jesus said:

Go into all the world…”

Andrew met Jesus and did one thing first —

he shared Him with Peter.

He didn’t preach. He didn’t build a platform. He simply shared.

Spiritually:

What saves you must flow through you.

Light that is hidden stops being light.

God does not bless information; He blesses multiplication.

2. Natural: Sharing Is How Ideas Survive

In the natural world:

Messages die when not shared.

Products fail without referrals.

Truth disappears without witnesses.

That’s why institutions partner with those who already have reach. Because sharing moves faster than shouting.

Your voice may be small, but your network makes it strong.

3. Social: Influence Is Responsibility

Every believer has influence:

Your words shape moods.

Your behavior teaches values.

Your silence gives permission.

Socially:

Sharing goodness counters toxic culture.

Public faith strengthens private courage.

Faith becomes contagious when expressed.

The Kingdom spreads when believers stop being silent spectators.

4. Economic: Value Multiplies When It Flows

Economically:

Shared knowledge creates opportunities.

Shared ideas birth businesses.

Shared platforms elevate communities.

God gave Joseph insight — but it was shared wisdom that saved nations.

Impact grows when what God gives you is released for others.

5. Emotional: Fear Is The Greatest Enemy Of Sharing

Many people hide their faith not because they doubt God, but because they fear:

Rejection

Mockery

Losing acceptance

But love always speaks. And courage grows with practice.

Sharing does not mean shouting — it means showing.

Kingdom Truth Summary

Sharing is not noise; it’s stewardship.

Influence is not ownership; it’s assignment.

Silence never multiplies truth.

What you keep ends with you. What you share outlives you.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,

thank You for revealing Your truth to me. Help me not to keep what You have given only for myself.

Give me courage to share Your light in my words, my actions, and my daily life.

Remove fear, silence, and hesitation from my heart. Let my influence draw others closer to You. Use my life as a channel for Your Kingdom to grow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
