THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD: ELISHA AND THE WIDOW'S JAR OF OIL PART 6: THE FLOW OF OBEDIENCE — WHEN FAITH MEETS ACTION 2 KINGS 4:5-6 In Part 5, we saw the importance of the secret place. The widow was instructed to shut the door behind her and her sons. We learned that some dimensions of God’s power only manifest in private obedience, away from distraction, noise, and interference. Now the miracle moves from instruction to manifestation. After obedience, separation, and preparation, the next stage is flow. This is where what was promised begins to manifest in real time. In 2 Kings 4:5-6 , the widow begins to pour oil into the vessels, and something supernatural happens—the oil continues to flow. As long as vessels were available, the oil did not stop. This reveals a powerful spiritual truth: God’s provision flows in response to continued obedience. The miracle did not happen before action—it happened during action. KINGDOM COLONIZATION: EXPANDING HEAVEN’S RULE ON EARTH 
PART 5: NATURAL BIRTH VERSES SPIRITUAL BIRTH


John 3:-16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life


Previously, we learnt about The Necessity of Spiritual Birth — that no one can enter God’s Kingdom without being born again. Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus revealed that God’s Kingdom isn’t accessed by religion or effort, but through a complete transformation of the heart and spirit.


Natural birth grants us physical existence and connects us to an earthly family, but spiritual birth gives us access to God’s Kingdom and makes us part of His eternal family. Just as physical birth is the gateway to life on earth, spiritual birth is the gateway to life in God’s Kingdom — aligning us with His divine purpose and eternal plan.

Jesus emphasized this truth when He spoke to Nicodemus about the necessity of being born again.

1. Natural Birth vs. Spiritual Birth (John 3:4–6)

Beloved, this conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus is one of the most revealing moments in Scripture. Nicodemus, though a teacher of the law, struggled to grasp spiritual realities. When Jesus told him, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3 KJV), Nicodemus could only think in physical terms — “Can a man enter his mother’s womb a second time?”

But Jesus was speaking of a greater reality — a birth from above.


a. Natural Birth — Entry into the Physical Realm

Every human begins life in the womb, where they are nurtured, protected, and prepared for birth. Natural birth introduces us to the physical world but also limits us to its fallen nature. We are born with desires and weaknesses that are shaped by sin and mortality (Psalm 51:5).

Just as a baby cannot remain in the womb forever, we cannot remain bound to the old life of sin.


b. Spiritual Birth — Entry into the Kingdom Realm

To experience true life in God’s Kingdom, we must be born again — born of the Spirit. Spiritual birth is not a reform of the old nature but a complete regeneration of the inner man by the Holy Spirit.

Through this rebirth, we are translated from darkness into light (Colossians 1:13), from death into life, and from earthly identity into heavenly citizenship.

It’s not about joining a church, keeping traditions, or observing laws — it’s about being transformed from within by the power of God.


c. The Outcome of Spiritual Birth — A Kingdom Lifestyle

Spiritual birth is not just an entrance into God’s Kingdom but the beginning of a new way of living. When you are born of the Spirit, you receive new instincts, new desires, and a new mind shaped by Heaven.

As Kingdom citizens, we no longer live to please the flesh but to reflect Heaven’s culture on earth. We become God’s ambassadors — carriers of His will, light, and righteousness.

In what ways can you allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through you to advance God’s Kingdom?




Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of new life through Your Spirit. Renew me daily, align my thoughts with Your will, and help me live as a true representative of Your Kingdom. Amen.

Just as the placenta supplies oxygen, nutrients, and removes waste for a baby in the womb, so God’s Word and love sustain our spiritual growth. Without it, we cannot survive — for His Word is our source of life, nourishment, and protection.
