THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 1 — THE EMPTY NETS BEFORE THE MIRACLE

THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 1 — THE EMPTY NETS BEFORE THE MIRACLE When Human Strength Fails Luke 5:5 “Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing...” — Luke 5:5 There are moments in life when you give your all and still end up with empty nets. Peter and his companions were not lazy men. They were experienced fishermen. They understood the sea, the timing, and the process. Yet after working all night, they caught nothing. Sometimes life can look like that: Effort without results. Prayer without visible answers. Strength without progress. But Luke 5 teaches us something powerful: Empty nets do not mean God is absent.  Sometimes God allows emptiness so He can introduce us to dependence on Him. 1. Empty Nets Do Not Always Mean Failure Peter worked hard, yet caught nothing. This means: Not every delay means you are cursed. Not every closed door means God has rejected you. Not every empty season means you are useless. Sometimes God allows human strength to f...

AT THY WORD: FROM OBEDIENCE TO DESTINY PART 3: STEPPING INTO PETER’S BOAT: AVAILABILITY BEFORE BLESSING

AT THY WORD: FROM OBEDIENCE TO DESTINY
PART 3: STEPPING INTO PETER’S BOAT: AVAILABILITY BEFORE BLESSING

Luke 5:3

“And He entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he should thrust out a little from the land.”

In Part 2, we saw how God chooses ordinary places and overlooked circumstances to position people for destiny. He saw Peter’s idle boat and transformed it into a platform for miracles and calling. Even the seemingly ordinary can become extraordinary when God is involved.

Before Peter’s miraculous catch, Jesus entered his boat. The key point is this: God works with what is available. He doesn’t bless what He cannot access.

Your availability is what God looks for before He releases blessings, assignments, or destiny.

1. God Blesses the Available

Peter’s boat became Jesus’ pulpit because he was present. God can only use what is open and available.

Lesson: Be where God can find you — your posture of availability matters.

2. Surrender Your Ordinary for the Extraordinary

By letting Jesus step into his boat, Peter surrendered ownership for purpose.

Lesson: God asks for access to what you already have — your skills, resources, and even your life.

3. Positioning Precedes Provision

The miracle didn’t happen until Peter allowed Jesus into the boat.

Lesson: Before blessing manifests, you must position yourself under God’s authority and presence.

4. Obedience Begins With Willingness

Jesus didn’t force Peter; He asked. Peter’s agreement set the stage for destiny.

Lesson: God calls for a willing heart, not perfect circumstances.

Reflection Questions

Am I making myself available for God’s work in my life?

What areas of my life have I withheld from God?

How can I surrender my “boat” — my time, skills, resources — to Him this week?

Do I trust God enough to let Him step into my ordinary for extraordinary results?

Prayer

Lord, I offer You my life today. Step into my boat and use whatever I have for Your purpose. Make me willing, available, and ready for Your instructions. Let my small obedience unlock the blessings and destiny You have prepared for me. Amen.

Watch out for part 4.

In Part 4, we will explore “Launch Out Into the Deep: Obedience in the Unreasonable.” Next, we’ll learn that God often asks us to obey in ways that may not make sense to human logic — but obedience leads to breakthrough.

Stay tuned for the next episode.
