THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 1 — THE EMPTY NETS BEFORE THE MIRACLE

THE MIRACLE YOU MUST WALK AWAY FROM PART 1 — THE EMPTY NETS BEFORE THE MIRACLE When Human Strength Fails Luke 5:5 “Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing...” — Luke 5:5 There are moments in life when you give your all and still end up with empty nets. Peter and his companions were not lazy men. They were experienced fishermen. They understood the sea, the timing, and the process. Yet after working all night, they caught nothing. Sometimes life can look like that: Effort without results. Prayer without visible answers. Strength without progress. But Luke 5 teaches us something powerful: Empty nets do not mean God is absent.  Sometimes God allows emptiness so He can introduce us to dependence on Him. 1. Empty Nets Do Not Always Mean Failure Peter worked hard, yet caught nothing. This means: Not every delay means you are cursed. Not every closed door means God has rejected you. Not every empty season means you are useless. Sometimes God allows human strength to f...

KINGDOM COLONIZATION: EXPANDING HEAVEN’S RULE ON EARTH
PART 9: THE CUTTING OF THE UMBILICAL CORD — TRANSITION TO KINGDOM GROWTH

1 Peter 2:2

As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby”

In Part 8 of our Kingdom Colonization Series, we examined “The Amniotic FluidThe Presence and Protection of the Holy Spirit.” We learnt that just as amniotic fluid surrounds and sustains a baby—cushioning, nourishing, and preparing it for birth—the Holy Spirit preserves, empowers, and readies believers for Kingdom life and service. Without the Spirit’s presence, our spiritual life is shallow; with Him we are nurtured into maturity.

For any colony to thrive, its citizens must mature and take responsibility for advancing the kingdom’s agenda. Likewise, in God’s Kingdom, believers must transition from spiritual infancy to maturity to effectively establish His rule on earth.

Just as a baby’s umbilical cord is cut to begin independent life, believers must detach from spiritual dependency and embrace their Kingdom calling.

As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2).

The Cutting of the Umbilical Cord – Transition to Kingdom Growth

(1 Peter 2:2)

At birth, the cutting of the umbilical cord marks a transition from the womb to the world — the beginning of life where the baby must now breathe, feed, and grow on its own. It signifies the start of independent development and responsibility for survival.

Spiritual Parallel:

Many believers remain dependent on others for their spiritual survival — relying solely on pastors, mentors, or emotions to sustain their faith. But Kingdom colonization requires mature citizens who can think, feed, and act from the Word under the Spirit’s guidance.

The believer’s growth process involves three essentials:

The Word of God — our daily nourishment for spiritual health and Kingdom expansion.

The Holy Spirit — our internal Helper who empowers and equips us for divine assignments.

Faith Maturity — the mark of a citizen ready to influence culture and advance God’s rule.

Kingdom citizens are not meant to remain spiritual infants. We must feed on the Word, grow in faith, and rise to fulfill our divine purpose — expanding God’s Kingdom wherever we are planted.

Reflection

Are you growing in your faith or still depending on others for spiritual strength?

What steps are you taking to mature and advance God’s Kingdom in your environment?

How is the Word shaping your growth and influence as a Kingdom ambassador?

Prayer

Lord, help me grow into a mature Kingdom citizen. Cut away every form of dependency that limits my growth, and empower me to embrace my role in expanding Your rule on earth. Amen.

Stay tuned for Part 10 as we explore:

“Spiritual Immigration — Entering Into God’s Kingdom.”

Just as a newborn crosses from the womb into a new world, Part 10 will uncover how spiritual rebirth becomes our divine immigration process—ushering us fully into the Kingdom of God.
