NAAMAN THE LEPER (EXPERIENCING SALVATION IN CHRIST) PART 8: NAAMAN'S GRATITUDE AND RESPONSE

NAAMAN THE LEPER (EXPERIENCING SALVATION IN CHRIST) PART 8: NAAMAN'S GRATITUDE AND RESPONSE 2 Kings 5:15–17 In part 7, we examined the swiftness of Naaman’s healing. After struggling with pride and resisting the simple instruction given through the prophet Elisha, Naaman finally humbled himself and dipped seven times in the Jordan River. The Bible records in 2 Kings 5:14 that his flesh became like that of a little child. The healing was immediate. What years of suffering could not fix was reversed in a moment of obedience. This reveals a powerful truth about salvation: when a person truly obeys God's word, transformation can happen instantly. But healing is not the end of the story. Healing must lead to response. And that is where Part 8 begins. Naaman's Gratitude And Response (Verses 15–17) After experiencing divine healing, Naaman did not simply return home quietly. He returned to the prophet. This time, however, he did not come as a proud commander demanding attention. ...

NAAMAN’S REDEMPTION – EXPERIENCING SALVATION IN CHRIST
PART 6: THE PERSUASION OF THE SERVANT – THE POWER OF TIMELY WORDS

2 Kings 5:1–17 (Focus: Verse 13)

In Part 5, the prophet’s command exposed Naaman’s pride and tested his obedience. Now in Part 6, we see the turning point — persuasion.

Naaman is angry. He is ready to return home unhealed. But then, a servant speaks. Not a king. Not a prophet. A servant. And destiny shifts.

1. Spiritual Dimension – God Uses Humble Voices

God often speaks through unlikely vessels. The servant reminded Naaman logically and gently. Wisdom does not always shout. Sometimes it reasons.

2. Emotional Dimension – Soft Words Calm Hard Hearts

If the prophet had asked you to do something great, would you not have done it?” The servant appealed to reason, not ego. A soft answer redirected rage. Evangelism requires love more than volume.

3. Social Dimension – Relationship Creates Influence

Naaman listened because relationship existed. Influence is built in proximity. Your voice matters in someone’s turning point.

4. Physical Dimension – Direction Changes Destiny

After the conversation, Naaman turned back toward the Jordan. One conversation changed movement. One sentence altered outcome. Never underestimate timely counsel.

Naaman almost missed healing — not because God refused — but because pride resisted. Thank God for servants who speak at the right time.

Prayer

Father, Break every pride in me that resists Your instruction. Give me a humble heart to listen, even when You speak through unlikely voices. When I am about to turn away from my healing, redirect my steps. Lead me from persuasion to obedience — and from obedience to complete restoration in Christ. Amen.

The Swiftness of Naaman’s Healing (Verse 14)

Naaman has been persuaded. His anger has settled. His pride has been challenged. His direction has changed. But persuasion is not healing.

In Part 7, we will witness the decisive moment — when Naaman steps into the Jordan and obeys completely.

God is speaking, are you listening?
