THE UNPROFITABLE PROFIT: GAINS THAT BANKRUPT THE SOUL PART 12: FINAL LAP: THE PROFITABLE LIFE — WHEN THE SOUL IS PRESERVED AND REWARDED Matthew 25:21 “Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”  In Part 11, we stood before the eternal verdict. We learned that: Eternity reveals what life concealed. The verdict is based on response, not information. What you lived—not what you claimed—will speak. He managed life well… but neglected his soul. After all the warnings…after all the losses… after all the consequences…There is still a question: “ What does it mean to truly profit?”  Because not all profit is dangerous. There is a kind of gain…that heaven approves. A life where nothing essential is lost—and everything that matters is preserved. The Profitable Life — When The Soul Is Preserved And Rewarded A profitable life is not measured by how much you have…but by what you keep. It is a life where: Your soul is intact. Your alignment is consisten...

JUMPSTARTING YOUR LIFE—THE POWER OF DIVINE CONNECTIONS PART 4:WHEN THE CONNECTION SPARKS BUT DOESN’T START

THE STORY: SPARKS, BUT NO IGNITION!

Romans 1:11-12 (NIV)

"I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong—that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith."

Welcome to part 4 of our Series, Jumpstarting Your Life: The Power of Divine Connection.

In Part 3, we saw that staying disconnected from your power source leads to weakness, missed opportunities, and dependence on temporary fixes. A one-time boost is not enough—you must stay plugged in to sustain your progress!

PART 4: WHEN THE CONNECTION SPARKS BUT DOESN’T START

THE STORY: SPARKS, BUT NO IGNITION!

One evening, I saw my landlady’s son trying to start his car again. This time, everything seemed right—the jumper cables were connected, and sparks flew when they touched. But the car still didn’t start!

I wondered, why was there power but no ignition? Sometimes in life, we have the right connections, opportunities, and resources, but things still don’t move forward.

HAVE YOU EVER FELT STUCK DESPITE DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT?

Many people experience moments of power but no progress.

Spiritually – You pray, fast, and read your Bible, but you still feel stuck. (“We toiled all night and caught nothing.” – Luke 5:5)

Physically – You exercise and eat right, yet your health doesn’t improve. (“A body without spirit is dead.” – James 2:26)

Socially – You invest in relationships, but they remain shallow or broken. (“How can two walk together unless they agree?” – Amos 3:3)

Financially – You have the skills and work hard, yet your finances don’t grow. (“You earn wages only to put them in a bag with holes.” – Haggai 1:6)

It’s frustrating to see sparks but no movement.

WHAT CAUSES STAGNATION DESPITE CONNECTION?

1️⃣ Weak Internal Components – The car had external power but weak internal parts. In life, this could be:

Fear or doubt (“A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.” – James 1:8)

Lack of preparation (“The wise store up knowledge.” – Proverbs 10:14)

2️⃣ Corrosion and Blockages – Sometimes, there’s rust or dirt blocking the flow of power. In life, this represents:

Unforgiveness (“Forgive, so that your Father may forgive you.” – Mark 11:25)

Unresolved past wounds (“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” – Isaiah 43:18)

3️⃣ The Wrong Type of Connection – Some connections look powerful but aren’t compatible with your journey. Not every mentor, friend, or opportunity is meant for you! (“Bad company corrupts good character.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33)

4️⃣ Impatience and Rushing the Process – Just because power is present doesn’t mean movement happens instantly. Growth takes time. (“Though it tarries, wait for it.” – Habakkuk 2:3)

HOW TO TURN SPARKS INTO IGNITION

Check Your Internal Condition – Sometimes, the issue isn’t the power but what’s inside. Strengthen your faith, mindset, and heart. (“Create in me a clean heart.” – Psalm 51:10)

✔ Clear Out Corrosion (Unforgiveness, Fear, Distractions) – Remove anything blocking the flow of God’s power in your life. (“Lay aside every weight that hinders.” – Hebrews 12:1)

Ensure You Have the Right Connections – Ask God for wisdom in choosing your mentors, friends, and relationships. (“In all your ways acknowledge Him.” – Proverbs 3:6)

Be Patient but Expectant – Some things require time. Keep pushing, keep trusting, and stay ready for the breakthrough! (“Do not be anxious, but in everything, with prayer and thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” – Philippians 4:6)

REFLECTION:

Are there areas in your life where you see sparks but no progress?

What internal weaknesses, distractions, or wrong connections could be holding you back?

What one thing can you change today to turn your sparks into real ignition?

PRAYER:

Lord, I don’t want to just see sparks—I want to experience true movement in my life. Help me remove anything blocking Your power, strengthen me from within, and connect me to the right opportunities and people. I trust Your timing and process. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

COMING NEXT: "SUSTAINING THE FIRE—KEEPING THE ENGINE RUNNING"

In Part 5, we’ll learn how to keep the momentum going so that your life doesn’t lose momentum again!
