THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF GOD: ELISHA AND THE WIDOW'S JAR OF OIL PART 5: THE DISCIPLINE OF THE SECRET PLACE — WHEN MIRACLES REQUIRE CLOSED DOORS 2 KINGS 4:4-5 In Part 4, we learned that miracles often involve movement, obedience, and action. The widow was instructed to go out, borrow vessels, and gather what was needed. We saw that God’s instructions often require participation, and that obedience is a key that unlocks divine provision. Now the story moves from the outside world into the inside space of encounter. After the vessels were gathered, something very significant happens in the process of the miracle. The next instruction is not about movement—but about isolation. God begins to shift the widow from public obedience to private encounter. In 2 Kings 4:4-5, Elisha gives a new instruction: “ Go in and shut the door behind you and your sons … ” This moment is deeply spiritual. Before the oil flows, the door must be closed. PRESERVING OUR INTEGRITY: BEING THE SALT OF THE EARTH PART 6

PRESERVING OUR INTEGRITY: BEING THE SALT OF THE EARTH PART 6

Matthew 5:13

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot."

Welcome to Part 6 of our ongoing series, Preserving Our Integrity: Being the Salt of the Earth. So far, we have examined the lives of Daniel and Job. Now, let’s turn our focus to Jesus Christ and Paul, two powerful examples of unwavering integrity, and draw lessons for our Christian journey.

The Importance of Integrity

1. Integrity Reflects the Character of Christ in Our Lives

🔹 Biblical Example: Jesus

Jesus is the ultimate model of integrity. In John 14:6, He declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” His life was a testimony of truth, righteousness, and love—never compromising, even in the face of suffering. Whether in His teachings, miracles, or sacrifice on the cross, Jesus remained faithful to God's will.

🔹 Personal Reflection:

Do my actions and words align with the teachings of Jesus?

Am I truthful and compassionate in my daily life?

How can I better reflect Christ’s integrity in my relationships and work?

2. Integrity Strengthens Our Witness and Influence

🔹 Biblical Example: Paul

Paul’s transformation from a persecutor of Christians to a devoted apostle highlights the power of integrity. In Acts 24:16, he says, “So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.” His life after conversion demonstrated commitment, truthfulness, and unwavering faith.

🔹 Personal Reflection:

Since accepting Christ, how has my integrity grown?

Do I uphold truth even when it's difficult?

How can my life be a testimony to others?

Integrity is not just about what we believe—it’s about how we live.

Be intentional in aligning your life with Christ’s teachings.

Hold yourself accountable to truth and righteousness.

Let your life be a testimony that points others to Jesus.

🙏 PRAYER

Lord, help me to walk in integrity, just as Jesus and Paul did. Let my life be a reflection of Your truth, and may my actions inspire others to follow You. Amen.
