(Isaiah 39:2). In Part 6, we discovered that the precious oil in Hezekiah's treasure house represents the anointing and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit. We learned that the Holy Spirit is not given to exalt us but to glorify Christ. The anointing is a sacred trust that must be guarded with humility, purity, and obedience. Today, we come to another treasure that Hezekiah exposed to the envoys from Babylon—the whole armory. Every kingdom has treasures. But every kingdom also has weapons. Treasures preserve the kingdom's wealth. Weapons preserve the kingdom itself. Without an armory, a kingdom becomes vulnerable to attack.
