SENT TO REAP: REAPING WHERE OTHERS HAVE SOWN PART 4: THE JOY OF THE REAPER John 4:36 (NKJV) “And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.” In Part 3, Jesus Christ instructed, “ Lift up your eyes ,” teaching that many people miss divine opportunities not because they are absent, but because they are unseen. Spiritual distraction and misplaced focus often cause believers to overlook what God has already placed before them. Not every reward in life is financial. Some of the deepest joy comes from stepping into a harvest that carries eternal value. Jesus now shifts the disciples’ attention to the reward of those who respond to the harvest: “ And he who reaps receives wages… ” The kingdom of God does not only assign work—it guarantees eternal reward for faithful labor.
